John Deere has announced that it is rolling out three new models of wheel loaders – the 744L, 824L and 844L – to accommodate customers with demanding worksites. These machines, which will be a part of the L-Series lineup, will include roomier cabs, electrohydraulic (EH) controls, and an improved HVAC system.
The more comfortable cab has three extra inches of legroom, as well as storage space behind and next to the seat, when compared with K-Series machines. The new seat offers heating and ventilation, and the cab itself offers premium radio, a backup camera, automatic temperature control, and power-adjusted exterior mirrors.
Standard joystick steering improves cab room, and customers can opt for a steering wheel as a field kit. A dedicated steering pump provides quicker hydraulic cycle times for combined functions.
All new EH controls provide more operator comfort than ever before. Soft stop features help the boom or bucket of the machine gradually stop when either the kickout position is reached, or the operator releases the control.
“Our customers work day in and day out on some of the toughest quarries and job sites, making reliability and productivity critical for their operation. With the new L-Series wheel loaders, we listened to customer feedback and used that information to continue to improve our wheel loader offerings,” said John Chesterman, product marketing manager, production class four-wheel drive loaders, John Deere Construction & Forestry. “These machines are more comfortable, reliable and fuel-efficient, all without impacting productivity. We understand that our customers need equipment they can trust to complete the job, and these new machines offer just that.”To learn more about these new models of the L-Series lineup, contact your local John Deere dealer or visit www.JohnDeere.com.
